Cravings. To be honest, at the beginning of this journey I never thought I would have a problem battling these unwanted episodes, but last night I caved. I went over to the variety store and purchased a chocolate bar and a family size bag of popcorn. I went home and put on my favourite T.V. show and ate the entire chocolate bar and about half of the bag of popcorn. Let me tell you, I felt like garbage afterwards. Why does chocolate have to be so good? I forgive myself for this mistake and will just keep on moving. Hopefully I can control my cravings better in the future.
My best friend once told me that a craving lasts for about seven minuets. So, in theory, if I can get through that seven minuets I'm laughing. Somehow, I don't think that it will be that easy... I've heard a whole bunch of ways and ideas to curb a craving, but none have been successful. How do you cure your craving? Please share with me in the comments section.
I am proud of myself. I have completed my cardio workout for five days in a row. That's pretty fabulous if you ask me! However, I have my own treadmill in my apartment, but I love going to the community gym in a neighbouring building. There, there are three great treadmills, cycling machines, weights, and other machines. My only problem is that I am incredibly self-conscious. I can only imagine my fat butt trying ineffectively to use a workout machine. I have no idea how to use them! I am intimidated by the equipment, but also my the people that are there. They look way more fit than I do, and I just feel like a fat tub of lard. That being said, I went to the gym this morning and did my cardio workout. It went well, I deliberately went at a time when I thought no one else would be there. There was one other person, however, and she looked totally ripped. Because she was using one of the machines and the weights, I decided to just stick to my cardio workout and leave. I need to find some way to get over my self-consciousness. I think it would help if I had some times with the gym all to myself. Then I could experiment with the equipment and figure out how it all works. If you have any ideas of how to overcome my fear, I invite you to share with me in the comments section. Thanks for reading!
