Last night I caved. My friend came over and we decided to splurge on beef tortellini, garlic bread, and beer. If that's not a step backwards, I don't know what is! So, today I tried so hard to balance things out: 3 hours of bike riding. My legs are in a lot of pain to say the least, but that doesn't compare to the pain my crotch area is feeling! I have GOT to get a gel bike seat or something...
I bought myself a scale the other day and it turns out that my top weight was actually 216 pounds. I had no idea! I really thought that I was in the 170-180 pound range. Very depressing... So, you can imagine my now, 213 pound frame, on this skinny bicycle touring to the grocery store. I swear I was going to pop a tire or something!
When I reached the grocery store I decided that I would buy some Nature S M Tea. This is a tea that I was introduced to many years ago and have used before. Basically, this tea makes you go to the washroom. Yep. It acts as a kind of a detox/laxative and cleans out your system. I remember the first time I used it, I used the 'extra strength' formula. I can tell you that while affixed to the porcelain throne, I cursed the person who introduced it to me. If you are interested in using a product like this, please, use the regular strength formula. You can expect to feel mother nature's urge anywhere between four to eight hours after you have ingested it.
All in all, I think this tea is a good way to detox the body, but should not be a long-term solution for weight loss. It can help you shed pounds, but that weight will likely all return once you stop using the tea. It is recommended that you only dink one cup of this tea per day.
While I did not pop a tire, on the way home when changing gears, one of my wires snapped. Thank goodness I wasn't too far from home and could walk. What an adventure! If you have any suggestions for detoxing the body, please share them with me in the comments section. :)
