I feel horrible. I haven't been on the treadmill in two days and I feel enormous. My sister is visiting for a few days and we haven't exactly been eating healthy. This morning we had a Tim Horton's breakfast of egg and bacon sandwiches on a biscuit, and last night we went out with my parents and I ate an ENTIRE rack of ribs with mashed potatoes and gravy. Epic fail on my part. I mean the ribs we fantastic, but I feel akin to a cow right about now. It doesn't end there. Thursday night we decided to play some video games and thought the experience would best be accompanied by wine... Lots of wine! Our game night was also made complete with popcorn. It had no butter on it, but lots of salt. I say that like the 'no butter' makes up for everything! Counting calories went out the window for the last few days.
My sister and I were kind of active, though. I wasn't doing my daily treadmill run, but we went out hiking for about two and a half hours on Friday, and about an hour today. However, on that note, I am NOT feeling very motivated right now. I feel exhausted from having a weekend guest and my treadmill is just taunting me. I have been on my Facebook groups looking at the fitness pictures that usually motivate me... I even put a 'motivational meme' as the wallpaper on my phone... but nothing is working right now. All I want to do is get in the shower, clean my apartment, and start fresh tomorrow. It probably doesn't help that I just ate leftover tortellini pasta for lunch.
On a separate note, has anyone ever had problems with their treadmill? I have borrowed my parent's treadmill and I have noticed that about half-way through a workout the speed gradually decreases. I have it on the same jogging speed of 5.6, and the monitor will remain the same, but it will start to feel slower to the point where I am just walking at a quick pace instead of jogging. My dad came over this afternoon and lubricated it, so perhaps that will help. I'm just not sure what could be causing it to slow down. As always, if anyone can help or has any thoughts, please share with me in the comments section.
