Today was okay... Just okay. I woke up this morning with a bad attitude towards exercise. I was dreading getting on that treadmill. After weighing the pros and cons of working out, I finally decided that working out makes me feel good and that I have to just do it.
I should probably mention that I am doing a program called "Couch to 5k". Some of you have probably heard of this program. You start cardio by walking and slowly working your way up to running. Each week there is more and more time spent jogging, and less time spent walking. So far, I have had great success with the program, but am nervous for next weeks step up. The program works over a period of eight weeks, so in theory, you can be a 5k runner in eight weeks. I was able to download an application from the Google Play store for my Andriod phone here: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.c25k This application is so handy; I just turn it on on my phone and jump on the treadmill. It guides you through each workout. The best part is that it's free!
After my workout, I had my bath had I felt great. Then I started to feel hungry... Oh no! I had a bowl of oatmeal for breakfast with a digestive tea, but was craving chocolate. I caved again. I ended up going to the grocery store to get a chocolate bar, a coke, and two sandwiches from the deli. I ate it all! I am so disappointed in myself right now. I need to stop giving in to my cravings and I'm not sure how exactly to do that. If you have any ideas, please share them with me in the comments section.
Happy exercising!
